Are you trying to connect your library with the older students, those teens whose interest dwindles sharply in eighth grade? The Millis MS/HS library began a Teen Library Council to attract this group and get them involved with the library and its programs.
The School Library Teen Councils helps make decisions to better serve their peers in the library. Students will have a hand in choosing books to be added into our collection, create programs, contests, and displays, and assist in forming library policies and procedures. They will be involved in all library programs (book fairs, author visits, coffee houses, etc). This program will help others begin a council.
