Providence Public Library (PPL), was awarded an IMLS grant for teen workforce development that has helped shape our vision of how the library can better serve teens and young adults (ages 14-24). Through our work on this grant, PPL noticed a gap in access that teens face with work readiness training and job opportunities. PPL partnered with our local Comprehensive Community Action Program (CAP) to expand our offerings for teens. In this presentation you will learn about the ins and outs of sharing space with a CAP partner, from the director level to service level perspectives, and how this kind of partnership could benefit your library.
