Every community, no matter how large or small, how urban or rural, has queer people in it. Because of this it's important for libraries to ensure they are providing equitable service to this traditionally underserved population. This panel will aim to teach attendees why this topic is important for libraries to consider and how to better provide services to our queer patrons with concrete examples based on the panelists’ experiences. We’ll cover topics including programming, collection development, customer service, and other accommodations that can help create a more welcoming environment for queer patrons of all ages.
